- Assist in preparing fresh sushi and hot food items to high standard
- Maintain food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout the day
- Follow food prep guidelines and address any quality issues immediately
- Demonstrate speed and efficiency in preparing sushi and hot food while maintaining quality standards
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist with customer inquiries, special requests, and feedback
- Contribute to a clean, tidy, and welcoming shop environment
- Help set up and pack down the shop each day
- Replenish stock and ingredients during the shift
- Follow procedures for cash handling and basic POS transactions
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily goals
- Uphold company values through positive communication and support
- Attend briefings and training sessions as required
- Follow food hygiene and safety regulations at all times
- Keep workstations clean and organised
- Support with daily and weekly cleaning checklists
Responsibility 6: Other Duties
Perform any other reasonable tasks requested by the shop manager or business owner that support the effective operation of the business
