Restaurant Manager

Hours: Full-time, minimum 30 hours per week

Position Description

The Yacht Chinese Restaurant is seeking an experienced and capable Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations while supporting the restaurant’s ongoing business growth and local market engagement.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction
• Manage staff including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance supervision
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service
• Monitor financial performance including sales, costs, and basic budgeting
• Support the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional activities
• Assist in developing local marketing initiatives, including group dining, events, and seasonal promotions
• Maintain and update the restaurant’s online presence and social media platforms
• Build relationships with local businesses and community groups to support business development
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality management or business operations
• Proven experience in customer service and team management
• Sound understanding of basic business operations, including sales and cost control
• Experience or exposure to marketing, promotion, or customer engagement activities is preferred
• Ability to support social media updates and basic promotional activities
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
