Business Development Manager

Established in 2011, Wisdom Cleaning provides professional cleaning services to a wide range of commercial clients across Christchurch, Auckland, and Wellington.
Our head office is based in Christchurch, and we are now seeking a highly motivated and independent Business Development Manager to expand our commercial cleaning and construction build-cleaning business in the Auckland region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:- Identify and secure new commercial cleaning and construction build-cleaning contracts in the Auckland region.
- Manage your own schedule and sales pipeline — this is a mobile role requiring autonomy and accountability.
- Generate leads through cold calls, site visits, referrals, networking, and relationship development.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent follow-up and service excellence.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals to achieve growth targets.
- Report directly to the Christchurch Head Office for sales performance and strategy alignment.
- Collaborate closely with the Auckland Operations Manager to ensure smooth contract handovers and high client satisfaction.
- Minimum 3 years of proven success in B2B sales, business development, or account management — ideally within the service, facilities, or construction-related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities through proactive outreach, client meetings, and negotiations.
- Skilled in managing the entire sales cycle — from lead generation and proposal preparation to closing and account follow-up.
- Highly self-motivated and disciplined, able to operate independently in a mobile environment with limited supervision.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across all levels of business.
- Commercially minded, strategic thinker with the drive to meet and exceed targets.
- Full NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Auckland region.
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions.
