About the Team
As part of Waitaha Canterbury Specialist Mental Health Services, the Crisis Resolution Community Mental Health team is a nexus of urgent and acute mental health care providing a 24-hour, 7 day a week service providing assessment, treatment and support to people experiencing a psychiatric crisis.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated Registered Health Professional (Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) to join us as an Associate Clinical Manager. This is a permanent full-time opportunity (0.94FTE) working a 4x2 roster pattern predominately day and afternoon shift.
Skills and experience
We seek an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic health professional with a drive to support the day-to-day operational of a busy and often challenging service. Working alongside the Clinical Manager, you will foster an environment where staff are the key asset providing brief episode, high level clinical care that is compassionate, consumer and whanau-family focused.
With your proven ability to lead, you will be an expert at developing and extending practice. You will assist with success and development conversations, provide overall clinical expertise and mentorship within the team, and enable the team to continue to deliver a high standard of care.
Your skills will include:
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to communicate effectively and form positive working relationships at all levels;
- The ability to facilitate and provide high quality professional practice and provide expert leadership within the service;
- The ability to work in an integrated and collaborative manner with both our outpatient and inpatient teams and across the wider mental health system;
- Certification as a Duly Authorized Officer for the Mental Health Act is advantageous (if not currently certified, training will be provided);
- This role requires strong clinical and operational leadership skills, you will have developed clinical expertise in mental health over a minimum of 5 years.
- You will be a Registered Health Professional - either a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with current APC and Mental Health Scope of practice.
