Dental assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in bustling inner city suburb- Newmarket. In addition to providing chair-side assistance to our dentists, this role will also involve performing administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

• Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments.
• Process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance claims.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold infection control standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
• Proficiency in dental software for scheduling and record-keeping (i.e. EXACT).
• Proficiency in English both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
• Multilingual is a bonus.
• Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required.
