Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team in Wiri, Auckland. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of the companies playground construction projects predominantly on the North Island, managing all aspects of the project lifecycle.

• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
• Coordinate and liaise with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Provide regular progress updates to key stakeholders and communicate project status effectively
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices within the team
• Travel required regionally

• Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation and ability to create and manage SSSP's
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously utilising sub-contractors and in-house labour
• Experience in working on civil projects, landscaping or similar outdoor construction
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on risk management
• Proficient in the use of project management software and MS Office suite
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field
