At Geotechnics, we're on the lookout for aField Technicianready to dive into the world of geotechnical field testing. Whether you're fresh out of University with a Geology Degree or hands-on Construction experience, this role will immerse you in exciting infrastructure projects across Auckland while building your skills from the ground up.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Conducting geotechnical field testing, sampling, and monitoring ground conditions
- Operating soil sampling and testing equipment (some heavy gear involved!)
- Performing environmental monitoring and civil lab testing
- Collecting, entering, and processing data accurately
- Collaborating with engineers and clients to ensure high-quality project outcomes
- Performing all work in accordance with our IANZ accreditation and project management system
- A full, clean NZ driver's licence
- NCEA Level 3 (or higher), Bachelor of Science preferred (Geology or Earth Sciences).
- Physical stamina (able to lift 20kg+ regularly) and a love of outdoor work
- Some prior field or technical experience is a bonus—but we'll train the right person
- Confidence with digital tools like Excel and Word
- A can-do attitude, great time management, and top-notch communication
- A mindset geared toward learning, adapting, and collaborating
