Kaitiaki - Part-time

We’re looking for a caring, warm-hearted Kaitiaki to join our Papamoa village team. This role is truly special — it's all about spending meaningful time with our residents supporting their daily wellbeing and helping across the village including the kitchen.

As a Kaitiaki, your focus will be on bringing joy, independence and companionship to the people who call our village home.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Delivering morning and afternoon tea to residents and helping with eating and drinking
• Assisting in the kitchen with washing dishes and light duties
• Helping with group and individual exercise sessions
• Supporting physiotherapists with activities that encourage mobility and independence
• Supporting residents with light personal activities, like painting nails or going for walks

This is a permanent part-time role working 4 days on, 2 days off roster, with shifts across:

Qualifications

You don’t need any previous experience — just the right attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. We’ll provide full training to get you started.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have customer experience
• Are returning to the workforce or just starting out in your career
• Are kind, patient and enjoy spending time with people
• Are curious about aged care, physiotherapy, or community support and want hands-on experience
