Duty Managers - Tararua

We are looking for 2 X experienced individuals to take the position of a Duty Manager at our Liquor Stores in Tararua's - Dannevirke and Woodville.
A successful candidate who can plan, lead, organize, and control the day-to-day running of the store to achieve our high standards.
You will:- Assist the store manager in maintaining stock levels and determine the accurate need and requirement items before ordering new stock.
- Ensure that ordered products conform and are accurately invoiced when they arrive.
- Periodically organize and participate in the company's products and equipment stock takes.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure that stock is maintained, such that there is no shortage or excess of supply.
- Provide training to junior and/or new staff members and offer continued guidance to other staff if and where required.
- Ensuring continued compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring employees are offering exceptional customer service.
- Making sure customers are happy with the service and products.
- Supervising and assisting training staff to achieve sales targets.
- Helping staff to implement store policies.
- Handling cash and end of day checking.
- Managing store cleanliness and organization.
- Dealing with customer complaints and issues.
- Proactively build and maintain customer relationships.
- Motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment.
- Any other related tasks may be assigned from time to time as assigned by the employer.
- You must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in the field of retail, hospitality, commerce, management or a similar field/industry (only if you do not have a relevant qualification)
- You must have a relevant qualification in the field of management, hospitality, business, commerce etc. (only if you do not have relevant work experience)
- Availability to work full-time from Monday- Sunday between 30-40 hours per week, including public holidays
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well presented, well organised with good time management skills.
- Be motivated to provide the best possible customer service and care.
- Honest and enthusiastic with a positive and mature attitude.
- Advantage if you have a Liquor Controller Qualification
- Pay rate from $25 to $30 per hour based on experience and skills
- Min 30 to max 40 hours per week
