Are you a P&C/HR system specialist looking for a career opportunity that will empower you to make a substantial and positive impact in your new organisation?Does an organisational purpose that is centred on helping to keep New Zealand and New Zealanders safe and secure excite you?Our P&C Digital Systems Lead role could be just what you are looking for.The RoleReporting to the Director People Information and Systems within the People and Capability Directorate, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing and maintaining P&C’s digital systems.Responsibilities: Act as the system specialist for all P&C digital systems, ensuring data security, integrity and overseeing critical maintenance tasks Provide Tier 2 specialist support to system users, escalating to Tier 3 support when required, ensuring all P&C systems are fully supported Contribute to the strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the P&C system road map Manage digital improvement projects and partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement technical solutions which improve how people get things doneTo be successful in this role you’ll have: A human centric approach, with an ability to blend head and heart, science and art Detailed experience in managing P&C digital systems across the full employee lifecycle, including demonstrated experience in managing small to medium-scale optimisation and transformation projects and working in an agile delivery environment Sound understanding of relevant legislation, the collection, interpretation and uses of P&C information; experience in using reporting tools to extract data and formulate a compelling and concise narrative for a variety of audiences Excellent problem-solving abilities, a systems thinking mind set and a passion for simple and elegantAbout you: You’re a savvy communicator, skilled in transforming complex system and data issues and ideas into digestible, clear messaging to a variety of audiences.

Before you applyWorking within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must: Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 yearsORHold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
