Charge Nurse, Paediatric Cardiac Operating Rooms, Starship Child HealthStarship - New Zealand’s premier children’s hospitalExciting New Opportunity!Permanent, full-time position availableHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleOur Paediatric Perioperative services has a New Role opportunity for a passionate, Experienced Perioperative Nurse to lead the management of clinical activities for the Paediatric Cardiac speciality within our Operating Rooms and to provide Dynamic transformational leadership as we develop the paediatric cardiac service.About the TeamOur Paediatric Operating Rooms at Starship Child Health provides Acute Emergency Trauma and elective Surgical procedures in the paediatric specialties of General, Complex Neonatal, Thoracic, Urology, Endoscopy, Oncology, ORL, head and Neck, Dental, Spinal, Orthopaedics, Sarcoma, Plastics and cardiac including paediatric cardiac transplant.This New role will Manage the Paediatric Cardiac and Adult Congenital Theatres across two directorates.
Exceptional multidisciplinary interpersonal skills are needed to ensure the smooth clinical efficiency of the service and shared coordination of staffing resources across two Theatre Suites. This is an exciting time of change and opportunity to deliver a mokopuna and whanau centric paediatric cardiac serviceAbout youAs the ideal person for this role, you will:Either have or be eligible for registration with NZ Nursing Council.Be an experienced Perioperative Nurse with 3+ years of Operating Room experience with an extensive range of Theatre Nursing skills.
