Full time, permanent positionMonday-Sunday roleHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs a Mental Health Assistant, you will assist nursing staff with the provision of essential care while meaningfully engaging with patients.
This includes activities such as self-cares and bed making, laundry assistance, room transfer, escorting service users as appropriate, assisting with recovery programmes and completing routine checks and enhanced observations as delegated. You will attend handover as an essential member of the team and be aware of health status, risk, vulnerabilities and needs of all service users on the ward.
