Mō te tūnga | About the roleDefence Dental Services provide clinical services, which are an essential part of holistic health services in the NZDF. In particular, proactive preventive based oral health services with an emphasis on restoring tooth form and function, managing conditions that affect the supporting tissues of the teeth and preventing future oral health problems.Our dental assistants are primarily responsible for providing chair side assistance to our Dentists, cleaning and preparing the treatment rooms, sterilisation and generally assisting throughout the clinic and the front office as required.

Within this role, you will provide patient focussed service to military personnel attending the clinics, and be active team player.Our dental offices are only open during the day so no late nights and no weekend work!Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and ExperienceIdeally, you will have experience in a similar role within a dental clinic and have about 2 years' experience as a chair side assistant and working knowledge of sterilisation practices.Our ideal candidate has the following key skills and experience:Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer/ patient focussed service.High degree of self
