About the roleAs a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, you will provide high'quality clinical services and oversee the care and management of both acute and non'acute patients within a multidisciplinary team environment.
The role includes participation in the on'call roster.You will support and provide leadership to junior medical staff and work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow'up care for women referred to the service.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe Women's Health service provides quality and safe care as experienced by women, babies and their whānau of the Wellington Region.
We have a dedicated successful and enthusiastic team of 20 full and part-time Obstetricians and Gynaecologists who enable a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach to service provision, including voice of consumers at all level of service planning.Wellington Hospital is also a teaching hospital with medical students from the University of Otago rotating through the Women's Health service.
We supervise, and are accredited for Obstetrics and Gynaecology training through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.Women's Health Service at Wellington Regional hospital is a dynamic, innovative team who pride themselves in providing excellent secondary and tertiary level care to our families.The team of Senior Medical officers provide clinical leadership to professionals within the team and across the organisation.
