About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual as the Regional Wholesale & Logistics Support Specialist role in Christchurch.
You will play as a link between production and delivery, managing a variety of key tasks:
Sushi Production:
- Collaborate with store managers and staff to ensure production meets wholesale demand, overseeing general operations to maintain efficiency and quality control.
- Work closely in accordance with food safety requirements to uphold our high standards for food safety and product quality across both the wholesale and production arms of the business.
- Oversee and coordinate wholesale duties on an ad-hoc basis.
Customer Order Management:
- Manage and sort through wholesale customer orders received from various channels (such as email or phone)
- Consolidate order quantities for production, and enter orders into the company's accounting software
- Distribute orders to regional branches for production and ensure each branch receives them for smooth operations.
Produce Distribution:
- Collect and sort fresh produce (mainly vegetables) from markets or suppliers.
- Prepare produce for distribution and delivery, including loading produce into a company delivery vehicle.
Delivery Driver:
- Transport and deliver goods. Responsible for timely and accurate delivery for sushi, vegetables, and other company items, including ad-hoc transport requests from the company.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Oversee vehicle maintenance from time to time, including registration, WOF, repairs and cleaning.
Who We're Looking For:
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle with an appropriate licence and a clean record
- Ability to load and unload products frequently.
- An excellent customer service skill, together with a team player attitude.
- Excellent command of English and able to communicate well.
- A highly organised, skilled in time management, and a great planner.
- You should have solid computer skills and experience in food handling/ preparation as an added advantage.
- A fast learner with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to work with short turnaround time.
- Flexible to work long hours if required.
- NZ Citizen, Resident, or Permanent Resident
