ECE Centre Administrator - Educare Tamahere

About the Role – Mo te Turanga
As our Centre Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for whanau, tamariki, and visitors—creating a warm, welcoming environment from the moment they arrive.
Working closely with the Centre Manager and teaching team, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient and compliant operation of the centre, ensuring we continue to provide high-quality education and care.
This is a part-time role – Minimum 32 hours per week, Mon- Fri, exact hours are negotiableHourly rate: $25–$29 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications).
Key Responsibilities- Welcome whanau, tamariki, and visitors with a friendly and professional approach
- Support the Centre Manager with daily administrative operations
- Manage enrolments, attendance, invoicing, and general records
- Assist with Ministry of Education compliance and documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records, including debtor management
- Support communication between whanau, kaiako, and management
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
- Assist with centre communications and help promote the centre through marketing and community engagement
- Warm, approachable, and professional manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail, especially with records and compliance
- Experience with accounts and debtor processes
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Sound computer skills and confidence with admin systems
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Discretion when handling sensitive information
- A flexible, problem-solving mindset in a busy environment

Experience in ECE administration or knowledge of funding and compliance requirements, and marketing, is desirable but not essential.
