Casual - Labourer/Assistant (in Quarry & Mines)
RedBull Powder Company manufactures a range of explosive products and provides comprehensive drilling and blasting services to quarries, mines and construction projects in New Zealand.
We are recruiting a Drill Yard Hand/Labourer - CASUAL to provide hands on support with assisting the Drilling Team to deliver quality drilling services and blast holes to RedBull’s customers across the North Island.

You will be required to:- Comply with safe working procedures and instructions
- Support geological sampling
- Assist Drillers to collar blast holes
- Drill bit sharpening
- Other possible labouring tasks or duties include:
- Support the mobile processing delivery unit operators
- Support the operation of the manufacturing plant
- Comply with safe working procedures and instructions
- General labouring and housekeeping duties
- Excellent communication, spoken and written
- Be physically fit and strong
- Strong personal presentation, history of punctuality and good work attendance record
- Be self-motivated to work with a positive can-do attitude
- Hold a current full driver licence and clean criminal background
Ideally the successful candidate would reside in the South Auckland or North Waikato area. Daily jobs are spread between customer sites across the North Island, travel, including overnights away, will be involved so flexibility is essential. The position is available for an immediate start.
This role can at times be physically demanding, is mostly based outdoors in quarry and mining environments, will be supervised until fully trained or qualified and will report to the Drill Manager.
The ability to work alone and within teams is beneficial to the position, and in contributing positively to RedBull’s strong values and culture.
