Front Desk Coordinator

We are a specialist practice in the center of Lower Hutt and we are looking for a front desk coordinator to work alongside our skilled team.
The role primarily involves; Scheduling appointments for patients, communicating with other dental offices to complete full paperwork for cases, following referrals and supporting new patients, sending estimates ahead of treatment, sending post appointment reports and answering all incoming phone calls and emails.
A basic knowledge of office IT is essential, including Word, Excel, Dropbox. You will be working in a digital filing system. Large files may need send via drop box. Sending and receiving emails with attachments is a daily task. Knowledge of software that is specific to our office is an advantage: Alumni, Cliniview, Sidexis.
Our practitioners provide long term care solutions for referred patients. We aim to deliver a skilled and supportive service for our patients. Our team are all passionate about what they do, and we emphasize importance on communication and co-ordination with general dental offices.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the job and can bring a positive attitude to work with them every day. We are a specialist practice and so we aim to deliver a high standard of care for our patients. Being able to work with a positive frame of mind is an important asset.
In this role you will take responsibility within the team to make sure bookings are accurate and timely. Integrity is key asset. Our small team wish to support you in your role and allow you to become a valued and reliable team member. Having experience in a dental office is an asset but not necessary as full training can be provided.
Beneficial clinical experience:- General dental knowledge, or time spent in general dentistry.
- Any experience as a dental assistant.
- Being a team player and bring a positive and helpful attitude.
- IT literacy, good typing skills and an eye for details.
- Attention to detail and general interest in training.
- Good communication. Listening to patients and giving specific details is an essential skill.
- Good numeracy skills for processing payments and patient accounts.
- Delivering care with kindness and patience.
We are willing to train the right applicant for this role. If you have experience being a Dental Assistant but would like to transition to an admin based role, we are keen to hear from you.
