Experienced Mechanic & Auto Parts Specialist – Full Time

Beejay Wreckers is looking for a highly experienced petrol and diesel mechanic with strong knowledge of car parts to join our busy wrecking yard in Napier.
This role requires someone confident, capable, and ready to get stuck in — no training wheels here. If you’ve worked in a wrecking yard, mechanical workshop, or parts operation before, we want to hear from you.- ?? Key Responsibilities:
- Dismantle and strip petrol and diesel vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete basic repairs
- Identify, tag, and organise car parts for resale
- Assist with stock management and parts inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- ? What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mechanic (petrol/diesel)
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems
- Reliable, physically fit, and able to work unsupervised
- Positive attitude, good communication, and team player
- Wrecking yard or parts industry experience is a bonus
- Forklift licence is a plus (not essential)
