He angitūtanga | About the roleWe're looking for a motivated Web Communications Advisor to join our passionate Web Content and Design Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to communicate DOC's conservation work to the public through our popular and engaging website, inspiring people to connect with and care for nature in Aotearoa.A busy website with high volume of traffic from all over the world, receiving over 700,000 views a month, it has information about tracks, huts, national parks, camping and hunting to species, conservation work, science and monitoring.Key responsibilities include:editing and maintaining web content and creating new web pagesediting and adding media, images and documentsworking with subject matter experts to communicate content and key messagesworking on special projects to improve website contentrunning and analysing web analytics reports to guide workmonitoring a busy mailbox.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceTo make an impact in this role, you should have:web communications experience with skills in editing and managing content, and a keen eye for detaila knack for learning new digital toolsproblem-solving and analytical skillsthe ability to collaborate with others and communicate with stakeholdersability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesfamiliarity with web accessibility standards and usability best practiceexperience with content management systems and web tools.

Mō te tīma | About the teamThe Web Content and Design Team is a busy team that looks after requests to maintain content on the DOC website.
The team also looks after special projects on the DOC website.
The team sits within Digital, Brand and Marketing.Our purpose is to build trust and confidence in DOC and engage New Zealanders in nature through our brand, campaigns, content, channels, and partners.
We are part of the Strategic Communications and Engagement Directorate.
We're responsible for leading DOC's strategic communications and engagement, internally and externally, through providing strategic and tactical media, communications support, and services across DOC
  • working closely with Minister's office.

We're a group of storytellers, content creators, researchers, writers, message managers, editors, designers, brand guardians, producers, marketers and promoters who want to inspire our people and New Zealanders to connect with and care for Aotearoa New Zealand's natural environment.
