Part-time or Full-time Yard Assistant
Part-time or Full-time Yard Assistant / Groomer Hours negotiable — part-time (minimum 20 hrs) or full-time (up to 40 hrs)
With our ever-growing business, we are looking for another Yard Assistant/Groomer to join our team part-time or full-time.We are a commercial truck dealership dealing in imported commercial vehicles from Japan as well as utes, trucks and vans from within NZ.
You’ll help prepare trucks as they arrive for the yard, get vehicles ready for delivery and dispatch once sold, and support the overall presentation of our yard.
Key personal requirements
Previous grooming/vehicle cleaning experience is essential (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY PRIOR EXPERIENCE)Full licence or restricted licence.
Capable of driving manual transmissions.
Experience or a strong interest in vehicles.
Comfortable working on vehicles and using basic tools.
Confident driving vehicles of all sizes (training and support provided).
A drive to be part of a growing company.
Well presented – branded work clothing provided.
Key parts of the job
Driving vehicles to and from suppliers.Preparing trucks for the yard (includes light use of power tools – basic knowledge required).
Some minor strip and assemble of vehicles (training provided)Grooming vehicles inside and out, and carrying out basic checks.
Following the sales process once a vehicle is sold and ensuring all pre-delivery tasks are completed.
Keeping the yard tidy and stock presented to a high standard.
