This role is pivotal in shaping operational policy, leading strategic initiatives, and enhancing the performance of school transport services across Aotearoa. You'll lead the development of ministerial briefings, operational tools, and business improvement initiatives.

This is a high

-impact role that bridges policy and practice, contributing to strategic direction-setting and national service delivery.

Salary range: $99,496

  • $120,690 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.

The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake You will have: A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience Experience in developing and implementing operational policy Strong understanding of government processes and ministerial servicing Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills You will also offer: Analytical skills to use data and insights for decision-making Experience in business improvement and process optimisation A collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork The ability to translate strategy into practical tools and solutions The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
