We are seeking a Registered Nurse to fill the senior nursing leadership position of Clinical Nurse Manager SCBU combined with Chronic Care (Paediatric Outreach) Coordinator.

About the Role
As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, ensuring high-quality clinical standards, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. You will oversee day-to-day operations, support staff development, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit) at Lakes DHB is a 10-bed, level two neonatal unit that provides care for sick and/or preterm infants greater than 32 weeks gestation.
The Childrens Outreach Nursing Service care for children with acute and chronic illnesses in their home within the Lakes area. The service consists of a team of experienced childrens nurses who are available 5 days a week 8.30am 4.30pm

About you
We are looking for a person who is bright, motivated, dynamic, and a great communicator and who is enthusiastic about leading a team of experienced and skilled nurses and HCAs.
We welcome applications from registered nurses with a current NZ practising certificate. Applicants should have 5-7 years post registration experience.
Required skills and experience:
- Senior nurse experience, preferably with neonates.
- Proven leadership capability.
- A passion for equity in health outcomes.
- Proven highly effective written and verbal communication.
- Above average organisation skills.
- A sound knowledge of quality management and evidence of embedding this into clinical practice.
- Proven people management performance management, conflict resolution and team building.
