In a nutshell

A Centre Manager is the leader of the team within the centre ensuring excellent service standards, responding efficiently to centre demands, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and meeting the centre targets on a weekly basis.

This is achieved by providing the environment where the timely planning and co-ordination of activities, carried out safely, can thrive.

Day to day
  • Provide leadership and management within the centre
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the centre
  • Implement operational policies and the strategic plan
  • Assure all legal and regulatory requirements are met
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organisations
  • Lead, plan and review the daily planner for scope of work and production
  • Oversight of the volume of repairs through the workshop to prevent delays and maximise workshop efficiency
  • Promote high customer service and lead by example
  • Handle all complaints promptly.
  • Overall responsibility for health and safety in the Centre
Responsibilities include
  • Set location goals and action plans based on company goals
  • Assumes full responsibility for centre profit and loss (P&L) management, including following cash control and security procedures, managing supply and materials costs, managing staffing, and facilitating materials and supply ordering and management
  • Ability to recognize changing department employee and workload needs and respond with appropriate resources
  • Ability to prepare and conduct required meetings to ensure high levels of production
  • Responsible to Increase and maintain targets
  • Monitor and analyse Performance Reports
  • Provide continuous support to the AMI MotorHub team to achieve all performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our Insurance Partners
  • Manage all Scorecards to ensure maximized sales volumes
  • Develop and maintain relationship with and monitor performance of our Parts and Sublet Vendors to maintain the preferred vendor programs
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (repair duration, average repair cost, and net promotor score) for quality and productivity
  • Health and safety culture development and safety system management
  • Ensure the AMI MotorHub safety management plan and all safety risk controls are implemented and embedded.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators for health and safety
  • Recruitment, training and performance of all AMI MotorHub staff
  • Maintain KPI’s within the required metrics
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Skills and capabilities
  • 5 years of centre management, estimating, or production management experience within the automotive collision repair industry
  • Experience managing the customer experience journey within a process driven production facility. A history within the automotive repair industry is an advantage
  • Proactive self-starter who can lead the centre
  • Provide management, coaching, supervision and support.
  • Proficient/confident using IT and cloud based computer systems
  • Proficient in leading health and safety in the collision repair industry,
