Fixed term until January 2026Delivering on Government's reforms to Vocational Education and TrainingSalary range from $140K up to $165KThe Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) is looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to join the team delivering the Government's reforms to New Zealand's vocational education and training (VET) system.He angitūtanga: About the RoleAs part of the TEC Ministerial Work Programme, this role supports the implementation of the Government's legislative reforms to reshape the vocational education and training (VET) landscape.
These reforms include:Disestablishing Te Pūkenga and Workforce Development CouncilsEstablishing new regional Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs)Creating Industry Skills Boards (ISBs) to lead workforce developmentAs a Project Manager within the VET work programme, you'll join an established team and play a central role in ensuring that our project is well documented and key stakeholders have visibility of our work.This supports us to deliver the objectives of the programme on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Your focus will be on:Managing project reporting and documentation to ensure transparency and accountabilitySupporting governance and steering groups with timely, accurate information for decision-makingCoordinating people and processes to keep projects on track and aligned with strategic goalsMonitoring project performance across timelines, budgets, and quality metricsBeing the go-to person for all things related to project reporting and organisationYou'll work closely with the Programme Manager, internal teams, and senior leaders to ensure the successful implementation of the VET reforms.
