Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and kitchen and waiting staff
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food
Plaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
Participate in the Hiring process for Kitchen Staff along with the Manager
Provide training to Kitchen staff
Freeze and preserve foods
Setting kitchen up for busy periods
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures to kitchen staff
Ensuring stock is rotated to minimise wastage
Ensure that the stock is preserved and kept at correct temperatures
Seasoning food during cooking
Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
Ensure food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils are kept as per the food safetystandards
Qualification i.e. Diploma in Cookery or at least three years of relevant experience maysubstitute for the formal qualifications
Team player and ability to work competently under pressure.
Reliable and flexible to change.

Your duties will include : Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDiscussing food preparation issues with Managers and kitchen and waiting staff
