As a Team Leader, you will lead a team of Kaihāpai Recovery Coordinators who support kiritaki with accident-related injuries.You will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to your team, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge to develop and implement recovery plans tailored to the needs of kiritaki.
Your ability to lead with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a holistic approach will enable your team to make meaningful progress towards their goals and outcomes.
You can find more about the role here Ngā Haepapa Mahi | Key Responsibilities Ensure that your team is well-versed in te ao Māori practices and values, advocating for culturally appropriate services and interventions that respect and incorporate Māori traditions and perspectives.Set clear performance goals and expectations for your team, regularly monitoring and evaluating their progress.
Provide constructive feedback and implement strategies to enhance team performance and service delivery.Offer ongoing coaching and mentoring to kaihāpai, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.Encourage professional growth and provide opportunities for training and development.Promote a kiritaki-centered approach that prioritises the needs and experiences of kiritaki.
Ensure that kaihāpai are equipped to provide personalised and effective support to improve kiritaki outcomes.Support a collaborative team environment where open communication is encouraged.
Facilitate regular team meetings and discussions to share best practices, address challenges, and celebrate successes.Mōu | About you Experience in leading and mentoring teams, preferably in a culturally responsive environment as well as the ability to create a high performing and engaging team.You have a deep understanding of tikanga Māori and te ao Māori principles whether professionally or through lived experiences.Fluency in te reo Māori and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is preferred.Strong decision-making in complex situations.You are passionate about supporting kiritaki and their whānau by improving their access to services.You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with kiritaki, their whānau, and team members.You are committed to working in a holistic and culturally responsive manner.
