Experienced Gardener

We are seeking an experienced (2 years minimum) and motivated contract gardener to join our small team to assist with maintaining some of Wellingtons finest gardens.

• Minimum 2 years gardening experience required.
• Experience with hedge trimmers required.
• Good plant, pest and disease knowledge.
• Horticulture qualification a bonus.
• A good level of fitness.
• Good communication skills are a must.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and honest.
• Full NZ Drivers license.

• Leading a small team to maintain private residential gardens around Wellington
• Working in a team and individually at times.
• Job and time management. Delegation where required.
• Ensuring garden standards are kept high.
• Communicating future needs of gardens (eg when mulching is required).
• Weeding / pruning / planting / mulching / hedge trimming to high standards.
• Identifying pest & disease problems.
• We maintain gardens, we do not mow lawns.

• Very competitive rates. (starting at $39 to $45, depending on skills and experience).
