About the role
This Clinical Administration function is to provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the Adult Rehabilitation Services. While you will be located on Ward CG, your responsibilities will involve supporting tasks for both Ward CG and the Spinal Unit under the direction of the Team Leader, Adult Rehabilitation.This role plays a vit al part in the effective and efficient running of the departments as well as assisting the team to meeting their objectives

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Medical and general typing support, both transcribing and copy typing
- Booking and coordinating outpatient clinics using SI PICS
- Maintaining and management of outpatient waitlists
- Management of discharge documentation on HCS
- Actioning post-clinic outcomes
- Accurate data entry and data collation, as required
- General admin support and cover for service and relief of ward clerk
- Cover reception on wards (HG) and outpatients (Level1), as required
- Typing and circulation of leave and call rosters when ward clerk on leave
- Communicate and set up of clinical review meetings
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
About you
Skills and experience- Willing to be flexible working across services as requested
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent typing skills
- Tech savvy and innovative - quick at picking up new applications/systems
- Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Intermediate skills in the Microsoft suite e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel
- A background working as an administrator in the health industry would be beneficial
About the Service
Adult Rehabilitation Services encompass the Burwood Adult Rehabilitation Unit/ (BARU)/Ward CG and Burwood Spinal Unit (BSU)/ Ward HG. The services are based on the Burwood Campus and provide rehabilitation support to patients with spinal impairment and patients < 65 years with neurological and general rehabilitation needs, such as stroke, non- traumatic brain injury, hypoxic brain injury and other neurological conditions.
The inter-disciplinary teamwork with whanau and carers to provide a collaborative approach to ensure the communication of assessments, goal setting and the completion of patient's rehabilitation plans provide optimal care.
