You will work alongside a dedicated andexperienced orthopaedic team, managing acute trauma cases and contributing tothe ongoing education of registrars and junior medical staff.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a tertiaryhospital environment with a high volume of complex trauma cases, providing youwith both clinical challenge and professional satisfaction.

Your role will alsoinclude participating in an on-call roster, involvement in clinical governance,and the potential to contribute to orthopaedic research and innovation.About the Team, Service, and LocationOur Orthopaedic Department at Christchurch Hospital is oneof the largest in New Zealand, renowned for excellence in trauma care andsurgical training.

You will alsodemonstrate:Vocational registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Orthopaedic SurgeryFellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent qualificationAdvanced training and experience in orthopaedic trauma, ideally within a tertiary settingA collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care and service developmentA passion for teaching and mentoring junior doctors and surgical traineesWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
