Electrical Engineering Technician

Due to ongoing work demands, we are now seeking Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team.

1. Understand and follow electrical plans and instructions
2. Install, repair, test, and maintain test models of electrical systems
3. Record data on testing techniques, equipment, and other work
4. Report findings and results to colleagues and clients
5. Research new ways to solve electrical problems
6. Outline the materials needed for new work projects
7. Calculate the cost of new equipment needed for new work projects
8. Judge the condition of electrical equipment, to ensure safety and design standards are met
9. Help design electrical installations and control circuits, under the supervision of an engineer
10. Installing, testing and adjusting electric parts
11. Safety-test work

Job pre-requisites:

1. 3 years of directly relevant work experience or relevant electrical qualification, at a diploma level or higher
2. Relevant Electrical Qualifications
3. Be methodical and logical, with focal attention to detail
4. Have a solutions based approach with can-do attitude
5. Be a NZ Resident or have a valid NZ Work Visa
