Invercargill Oil Shop is Southland's distributor for Caltex lubricants, supplying customers across the transport, agriculture, automotive, forestry, marine, and industrial sectors. We are a locally owned family business focused on providing quality products and dependable service throughout the region.
We're looking for a Sales & Operations Coordinator to join our team and help drive the next stage of growth while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
About the Role
This is a diverse role that combines sales, customer relationship management, inventory planning, pricing, logistics coordination, and operational support.
You'll spend time out on the road meeting customers thought Southland and Central Otago and developing new business opportunities, while also working closely with suppliers, monitoring stock levels, coordinating deliveries, and helping ensure the business continues to operate efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, has strong commercial awareness, and wants to play an important role within a growing Southland business.
Key Responsibilities- Grow sales and develop new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with customers across Southland and Central Otago.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory requirements.
- Monitor pricing and profitability.
- Coordinate orders and deliveries.
- Support daily operations and business growth.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales.
- Organised, practical, and able to solve problems.
- Commercially minded with good attention to detail.
- Full New Zealand driver's licence.
Experience in sales, distribution, logistics, transport, agriculture, automotive, industrial products, or lubricants would be highly regarded.
