Forklift Technician

Momentum Equipment Services are a Forklift and Warehouse Equipment company. We sell, repair, hire and service all brands.

Based in Nelson, we service machines all over the top of the south and the West Coast.

We are wishing to employ a person to join our team to fulfil the growing demands of our business and the industry.

We are looking for a technician to join our awesome team, and while specific forklift experience is not essential, we need someone who is experienced with problem solving and fault finding, and has pride in their work and focuses on maximum uptime for the gear we look after.

Therefore, strong mechanical skills are essential. We may service gear with a grease gun one day, and rebuilding an engine the next, so a person who can adapt to change is essential.

We have a very high standard of customer service delivery and you must have the same attitude to your role.

A qualification in automotive, engineering or auto electrical is an advantage.

Computer literacy and good written and communication skills are important.

Engineering skills are also useful in this role, as are experience with hydraulics and diagnostics.

Obviously, a drivers licence is essential. An ‘F’ endorsement is very useful also.

The role is generally Monday to Friday, we do run a roster for breakdowns after hours when they occur.
