About the Role

Supporting the Health Records department, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate documentation and streamlining patient information flow across our hospital.From managing daily workloads to physically handling patient files, your mahi will directly support the delivery of safe and effective care.

The Health Records team forms part of the backbone of hospital operations, providing crucial administrative support that enables clinical teams to focus on patient care. Based at Whakatane Hospital, the team is dynamic, hardworking, and supportive - proud of the vital service they deliver and the role they play in ensuring patient safety and quality care.

About you
You are a reliable team player with a can-do attitude and solid administrative experience. You will be confident working in a structured environment with clear protocols, and you take pride in keeping things tidy, accurate, and moving efficiently.You will also be physically fit and prepared to take on repetitive tasks and some heavy lifting as part of your daily routine.
What you will bring:
- Proven administration skills, ideally in a high-volume or health-related setting
- Good computer literacy and confidence learning new systems
- Physical fitness and comfort with repetitive manual tasks
- A flexible, team-focused attitude and ability to follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy under pressure
