We are looking for a creative cook to join our wonderful Kindercare team. As an Assistant Cook you will be working alongside our Centre Cook, supporting with the preparation and cooking of vegetarian meals for up to 139 children each day.

The position:

Full time, permanent (40 hours)
NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
Kindercare police vet all potential employees

As an important member of our team, you will be:

Supporting the cook in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness, and adhering to our policies and procedures
A cheerful multi-tasker, with strong organisational and time management skills
Responsible for the smooth running and efficient running of the centres laundry and commercial dishwasher, as well as some cleaning duties
Tasked with running our kitchen in the Centre Cook’s absence
Proficient in verbal and written English
