About the Role

Auckland Airport is more than a gateway — it’s where journeys begin. We’re looking for a Terminal Services Coordinator to play a pivotal role in ensuring our International and Domestic Terminals consistently deliver an exceptional experience for passengers, partners and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager – Terminal Presentation, this is a hands‑on, operational role where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the heart of terminal activity, working closely with service providers, facilities, engineering and airport operations to ensure our terminals look, feel and operate at their very best.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Ensure the presentation, cleanliness and functionality of both terminals meet Auckland Airport’s high standards
  • Monitor and manage contractor performance across cleaning, waste, trolley and other services, addressing issues in real time
  • Act as the day‑to‑day operational liaison between terminal teams, Airport Operations and the Operations Control Centre
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance activities in partnership with Facilities Management and Engineering Services
  • Oversee and support terminal works, ensuring customer impacts are assessed, communicated and minimised
  • Champion the customer experience, using insights such as VOC scores and feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular audits and calibration reviews, providing coaching and feedback to service partners
  • Support operational readiness for new or changed products, services, facilities and assets

What you’ll bring to the role

At Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our AKL values All In | Tātou tatou – How we feel, Know How | Kōkiri Tahi – How we think and Let’s Go | Karawhiua – How we act.

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, airport, airline or other complex operational environments
  • Proven experience managing service providers or contractors in a live operational setting
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to bring others on the journey
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • A collaborative, values‑based approach with resilience and tenacity
  • Sound commercial awareness and confidence working across multiple stakeholders
