As we continue to grow, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager with a strong electrical background to lead our service operations and ensure the highest quality service delivery, while driving financial performance and strategic growth in a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
As the Service Manager at BM Electrical, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of our services, from initial client engagement to project completion and closure. You will lead, mentor, and motivate our service team, ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement in service operations.This critical role involves comprehensive overview on the job lifecycle management, working closely with supervisors to lift performance and actively contributing to client acquisition and retention. You'll need to be a proactive thinker who can anticipate challenges and implement solutions effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop our service team.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Oversea all aspects of service delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Manage the entire job lifecycle, from client solution creation and quoting, to monitoring execution and closure.
- Monitor and optimize supervisor performance, ensuring achievement of profit margins, timely invoicing, and efficient client query resolution.
- Monitor and report on departmental margins, Work in Progress (WIP), quote values, and quote approval/decline rates.
- Manage service department budgets, control expenses, and contribute to financial planning.
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities, while strengthening existing client relationships.
Who You Are:
- Proven extensive experience in service management within the electrical or related trades industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, service procedures, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
- A proactive thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, anticipating challenges and implementing effective solutions.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- A strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and experience in performance reporting.
- Proficient in using project management tools and relevant software.
- A valid Electrical Practicing License is essential.
- A valid New Zealand driver's license is essential.
- Permanent residency and right to work in NZ.
