Our purpose is to provide a holistic understanding of the harm being caused by, to, and within New Zealand Adult Gangs (NZAG), to enable communities to achieve better outcomes.We are seeking motivated Analysts to join our passionate and proficient insights team to tackle some of the toughest social issues in Aotearoa.

This position would suit an individual who wants to drive social change by working alongside government agencies and communities in a strategic environment.
As an Analyst, you will demonstrate professional curiosity and be able to use a variety of analytical tools and methodologies to provide concise and meaningful insight and foresight on a range of complex issues to decision makers.
You will be innovative in your approach to both develop and present valuable insights and solutions that enable us to drive towards our vision of an Aotearoa free from gang related harm.
You will be able to develop high trust relationships across a broad range of individuals, agencies, and communities.
This role also carries a portfolio for supporting the intelligence capability of New Zealand Police's National Gang Unit.
The successful candidate will need experience in managing demands across multiple workstreams and supporting operational activities to influence the prevention and disruption of gang-related crime, disorder, and intimidation, and to hold offenders to account.
Key Accountabilities: Produce insights that addresses harm caused by, to, and within the NZAG environment, identifying prevention and intervention opportunities.Proactively identify trends in gang-related issues and maintain a focused view of the gang environment.
Provide insights to disrupt gang-related crime, disorder and intimidation, and hold offenders to account.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop a high standard of written reports and provide clear and concise verbal briefings appropriate to a range of audiences.
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and the ability to identify and propose effective solutions that are suitable for the intended audience.
Actively and positively contribute to collaborative projects and group analysis.
Effectively manage competing priorities and demands to maintain quality of work.
Develop and maintain a wide range of positive relationships (internal and external), but particularly working with communities.
Champion diverse world views, different perspectives, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and identifying opportunities to reflect these in Intelligence products.

Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $87,306 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
