Q2 Food Limited is a grocery store proudly serving the Huntly community in the Waikato region. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

Hours: 30–45 hours per week
Pay Rate: $30–$45 per hour (based on experience)
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Store Manager, you will oversee all daily operations of our store, lead and develop our team, and ensure our customers receive an outstanding experience every visit.
Key responsibilities include:- Overseeing daily store operations including opening/closing, scheduling, and floor management
- Leading, coaching, and developing retail staff to meet performance goals
- Managing inventory, stock ordering, receiving, and loss prevention
- Monitoring store financial performance including budgets, labour costs, and sales targets
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and food handling standards
- Handling customer complaints and escalations professionally
- Coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and head office
- Preparing regular reports on store performance and operational matters
- Driving a positive store culture through team engagement and training
- Maintaining visual merchandising standards throughout the store
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, you must have:- Minimum 2 years of management and/or administration experience, OR a NZQA Level 5 qualification (in business, management, retail, or a related field)
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Sound computer literacy
- Familiarity with H&S obligations, food safety standards, and employment legislation
- Flexible availability across weekdays and weekends to meet operational needs
- Competitive pay rate of $30–$45 per hour, depending on experience
