[ref. c3431001] Fitter turner / CNC milling/turner
We are an engineering business based in Dunedin, known for delivering quality machined parts to customers across New Zealand. We are on the lookout for experienced fitter turners and CNC machinists who thrive in a hands on environment.
Whether you have worked with manual lathes /mills, CNC machines or both your experience is valuable in our busy workshop.
If you’ve got strong manual machining experience but haven’t worked with CNC machines, we still encourage you to apply. We value practical experience and a willingness to learn.
This is a permanent full time role, 40 hours Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating manual lathes and mills
- Operating CNC lathes and mills
- To read and interpret workshop drawings
- Working with a variety of different materials (metals and plastics)
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Trade qualification or proven experience as a fitter turner / machinist
- Proven experience with using manual lathes and mills
- Proven experience with CNC operating and programming
- An understanding of quality control processes
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Great attitude and interpersonal skills
