  • Kōrero mō te tūranga In this Wellington based role the Senior Knowledge and Information Adviser is a senior member of the Ministry's Knowledge and Information Team and will: Lead agreed projects and workstreams to design and implement information management solutions.

Develop and implement information management frameworks, processes and standards.

Provide advice and make recommendations on complex or organisational-wide information and records management issues and practices.
Use expert knowledge of relevant legislation to support the continued development of the Ministry's ability to meet its Public Records Act 2005 and other obligations.

Be part of the move from an on-premise ECM to a cloud based tool including: Leading the provision of support to users and contributing to system administration Recommending and delivering governance improvements Leading information audits, monitoring and reporting.

In this role you will join a collaborative and friendly team who are proactively working to grow the Ministry's ability to access and make effective use of its information in all forms, through quality advice, training and guidance, and the provision and maintenance of information and records management systems and processes.

The role includes occasional out of hours work.
The full salary range for this role is $89,601 to midpoint $105,412 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
We expect to appoint depending on your level of experience.

The successful candidate will have: A post-graduate information management qualification 7 years or more experience in information management Excellent communication skills An excellent understanding of relevant legislation
  • Public Records Act, Official Information Act and Privacy Act Demonstrable knowledge of best practice information management M365 and SharePoint administrator skills, as relevant to managing an ECM Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
