NZCL are looking for energetic and motivated people to support our clients in residential service in Christchurch.

We are looking for permanent, full-time and part-time Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in Christchurch.

What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?

Our Support Workers assist rangatahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community.

You will:

  • work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach
  • support tamariki or rangatahi to go to school or access education
  • observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
  • support rangatahi/young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.

Who are we looking for? - Ko wai ta tatou e rapu ana?
  • A desire to support our rangatahi/young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
  • Previous experience working with young people/rangatahi
  • An understanding of Intellectual disability and autism
  • Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player
  • A full NZ driver's licence
