AHealthcare Assistant is an integral part of our team and we are looking for acandidate who has excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and theability to use their initiative.You will enjoy being busy and don't mind that the role can be at times bephysically demanding.

You will work with a diverse multi-disciplinary team andfollow a rotating roster including weekend shifts.Wehave one permanent position available and one fixed-term positionavailable covering parental leave.Pleaseindicate in your cover letter what role(s) you are interested in.Role1: 0.9FTE (36hrs per week) permanentRole2: 1.0FTE (40hrs per week available now until September 2026) fixed-term due toparental leaveYouwill be responsible for:Patient care including personal careCleaning and tidying the ward/house keepingStocking the ward with suppliesAssisting the nursing team with a variety of tasks on the wardEnsuring that patients have the best experience possiblePrioritising patient safety at all times.Aboutthe ServiceWardB8 is a busy, acute ward caring for patients with neurological conditionsincluding; brain tumours, head injuries, spinal tumours, movement disorders andseizures.

As the largest inpatient neuroscience facility in the South Island itis a busy medical and surgical environment caring for a complex patient groupwith a diverse range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions.About YouYouwill be well accustomed to working within a fast-paced environment andprioritising your tasks continuously as your day evolves.Ideally experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similarAbility to work all shifts
