Christchurch - Support Worker (Six-month, fixed-term)

We are looking for a part-time (six-month, fixed-term) Support Worker to help the people we support in our Hamilton Residential Services.
What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?
This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and helping them do the things they want to do, such as going swimming, personal care, support with meals, household management tasks, and teaching life skills - the list is endless!
Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters, providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Full driver's licence is essential
- Someone who has the initiative to support people to achieve their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
- Respect for other people's thinking and ways of living that may be different to your own
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends
