Your new company:
This company supports its sector through by the provision of data-driven services and shared financial operations. You'll join a purpose-led team that works across a group of commercial entities within a unique and market sector.
With a supportive and collaborative team, they are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant who can help mentor junior staff and grow capabilities within the team.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, you'll oversee the full financial function across multiple entities. You'll provide leadership in monthly reporting, audit prep, forecasting, and team supervision, while contributing to strategic decision-making in commercial environment.Though you will have no direct reports you will indirectly support the team with your expert technical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations and monthly journals
- Supervise accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
- Manage audit prep, compliance, and external relationships
- Provide financial insights to support forecasting and budgeting
- Oversee GST returns, asset registers, and year-end accounts
Requirements:
- CA qualified or equivalent, with 5+ years post-qualification experience within a commercial business
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central is desired but not essential
- Proven leadership and team mentoring experience
- Attention to detail and proactive process improvement mindset
- Familiarity with financial reporting software and Excel (intermediate/advanced)
