Are you passionate about supporting young people and their whānau through some of life's most important and complex years?We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join our Adolescent team within the Bay of Plenty Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
This unique role blends day-to-day clinical leadership with acute care response coordination, providing a pivotal link between rangatahi, their whānau, CAMHS, and wider community partners.In this role, you will:Provide visible, supportive clinical leadership across the multidisciplinary team.Foster a positive, collaborative team culture, ensuring staff feel supported, valued, and inspired in their mahi.Lead and coordinate the acute response pathway, ensuring safe, timely and effective care for young people in crisis.Act as a specialist liaison, building strong connections with ED, Paediatrics, Oranga Tamariki, Police, NGOs, schools and other key partners.Coach, mentor and guide staff to ensure safe, recovery-focused, and culturally responsive care.Maintain a high clinical profile, working alongside the team in day-to-day clinical practice.Work in close partnership with the Team Leader, sharing responsibility for shaping service delivery and supporting the growth of the team.Work closely with the Team Leader to develop and strengthen CAMHS services, embeddingTe Tiriti o Waitangi principles and service user/whānau voice at every level.This is a dynamic role where you'll combine leadership, clinical expertise, and service development while making a real impact in the lives of young people and their whānau.If you are an experienced mental health clinician who is passionate about youth mental health, confident in acute settings, and ready to take the next step in leadership, we would love to hear from you.About YouThe successful candidate will be:A Registered Health Professional (Mental Health included on Scope of Practice) with a current annual practising certificate and a minimum of 3 years' postgraduate experience in community mental health and addictions.Able to demonstrate clinical expertise in adolescent mental health and the ability to positively influence service development.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
