Cook wanted for Indian Restaurant

Minimum of 30 hours per week

• Must be flexible with evenings and weekends.

• Min of 2 years of professional experience in Indian cookery is essential.
• Must have experience in preparing traditional South Indian breakfast items, meals, and snacks, including fermented batters, authentic curries, and spices.
• Relevant culinary certification is preferred but not required if significant experience is proven.

• Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Manage the biryani and curry station in busy hours.
• Ensure every meal meets consistency, taste and presentations requirements.
• Maintain clean workstation and strictly adhere to food safety and health regulations (e.g : NZ Food Safety)
• Monitoring stock levels and minimizing food wastage.

• Efficiency: Ability to work quickly maintain high standards at busy times.
• Reliability: punctual, committed, and flexible to work evening and weekends.
• Passion: A strong focus on delivering consistent, authentic flavors every time.
