Welder/Fabrication Specialist Wanted

Waikato Based Opportunity: $32-$35/hr

We’re looking for an experienced Fitter-Welder with strong fabrication skills to join our growing team in the Waikato. This is a fantastic chance to secure stable work with excellent pay, great conditions, and ongoing project variety.

What you’ll be doing:

You'll be working on large-scale welding and fabrication projects, every day brings something new – from fabricating custom components to assembling and welding structural steel and machinery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Fabrication and structural welding to spec
• Reading and interpreting detailed fabrication drawings
• MIG and stick welding (TIG experience a bonus)
• Using cutting, grinding, and forming tools
• Fitting, tacking, and assembling large steel components
• Site installation work as required
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years’ experience in heavy fabrication/fitter-welder roles
• Strong MIG and stick welding skills (TIG is a plus)
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Trade qualification preferred but not essential
• Solid experience with structural steel or industrial machinery
• Reliable, hard-working, and safety-conscious
• Own tools and transport
• Two recent work references
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test

• $32-$35 per hour depending on experience
