About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and welcoming individual to provide effective, professional and values-based customer focussed service to clients and their families attending the Outpatients Department at Kaitaia Hospital.
The hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm. This role will involve reception tasks, maintaining clinic files, ward clerk responsibilities, data entry, and collecting statistics.

The Outpatients Department at Kaitaia Hospital holds clinics for specialties including Ear, Nose Throat (ENT), Medical/Cardiac, Medical/Diabetes, Medical/Well Elderly, Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Orthopaedic, Paediatrics, Podiatrist, Psychiatrist, Psychologist/Diabetes, Retinopathy and Surgical.

About you
As a Receptionist, you will have the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people and establish and maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships- Advanced computer and data entry skills, including experience in Microsoft Suite programs
- Experience working in a customer service, fast-paced environment
- Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
- Pleasant and professional telephone manner
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable, however not essential to apply.
