Location: Islington, Christchurch
Our business is expanding and we need more drivers to help deliver windows and doors to our customers in Canterbury.
Requirements:- A clean full drivers license
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience delivering materials to work sites.
- Willingness to work hard and contribute to the team and work in a safe manner at all times.
A Delivery Driver shall carry out all lawful and reasonable instructions of the employer in the delivery of goods and the fabrication of aluminum joinery and must:
- Report to the Production Manager at the start of each shift for instructions.
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe, timely manner.
- Be polite and helpful and provide excellent customer service.
- Carry out regular cleaning or minor maintenance of vehicles.
- Report any significant maintenance required or any safety issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Comply with company procedures and training for:
- Truck loading
- Delivery
- Assist and co-operate with other staff members.
- Comply with company procedures regarding stores and raw materials.
- Comply with company procedures regarding waste by-products.
- Keep the vehicles and workplace clean, tidy and free from rubbish or other obstructions.
- As required, carry out cleaning and maintenance work on the employer’s premises, machinery, vehicles and equipment.
- Wear protective clothing supplied and observe the safety rules at all times.
